Redwood Table

This is a table I created from a huge chunk of Redwood I was privileged to find in the Oregon State Forest, shortly after the Forest Service cut down a tree that was diseased and began rotting from the inside. I embraced the decay and utilized it as added texture and dimension in the insides of the legs. After cutting the larger piece into it’s parts with a chainsaw, I planed the outside faces of the table by hand into smooth surfaces.
