I led the transformation of Weedmaps' design system from a design-owned artifact into an engineering-enabled platform — establishing semantic token architecture, drift detection across ~201 tokens, a Figma-to-code pipeline, and CI/CD-backed governance, and partnered with Engineering leadership to install a dedicated design systems Engineering Lead as Product Design's partner.

The robust design system that the Product Design team worked from had not meaningfully impacted the product experience because of fragmentation across dev repos for 2-3 years, but once we established this new foundation, we shipped the most meaningful design-system powered improvements to the product within a span of weeks, and reduced design-system blockers to effectively zero.
