Designed updates in an agile environment to mobile apps: iPhone and iPad, and Android phone and tablet, including the Google material design update. Work was frequently featured in media such as CNET and Mashable, culminating in collaboration with Apple and Google. Also spearheaded the creation of new Zappos apps for Windows Phone & Tablet, securing funding for development from Microsoft, and was featured at 2014 Microsoft BUILD event. Worked directly with Research and Analytics teams to iteratively improve zappos.com, including header, navigation, search faceting and product pages.
Was called on by Merchandising to rebrand Zappos Couture. Explored and pitched several concepts, including new brands a business concepts which evolved into Zappos Luxury. Based on research conducted on customers and luxury brand vendor partners, prototyped a new approach to site features and structure based on a personalized approach to segmented customer groups. Rebranded the business unit and revamped the site with a new aesthetic and first phase tech updates.
Working directly with the owners, partners and executives of the parent company, Topson Downs (private-label manufacturer), crafted the business plan to bring something new to the women's fashion eCommerce industry. AFRM was created to stand for affirmation of one's self and one's style. Within its first year, AFRM has been worn by the celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, covered in publications including Vogue and Glamour, and become one of Nordstrom’s best-selling new brands. The website has been progressively improved, built on core Shopify templates with advanced custom-built content management tools and various 3rd party product integrations.
In addition to various professional experiences and a span of design projects including SaaS products for Twitter management and payment processing, or a heads up display iPad app for private pilots, the bulk of my experience is in the realm of eCommerce and has included work for Elwood Clothing, Rachel Roy, and others.
My multi-disciplinary background in eCommerce gives me a unique perspective on design challenges, taking in experience and knowledge of technology, merchandising, marketing, branding, photography, art and entrepreneurship.
